ABOUT US
The Indian Student Association (ISA) is a community at Middleton High School dedicated to celebrating and sharing the rich heritage of Indian culture. We aim to foster cultural appreciation among students while supporting communities in rural India through acts of service.
From hosting iconic celebrations like Diwali and Holi to creating opportunities for learning and engagement, ISA provides a welcoming space for everyone to connect, grow, and celebrate diversity. We promote understanding, build community, and honor the traditions that unite us.
Through our services, we provide opportunities for children in rural India. Whether it be donations from our events and fundraisers, or formulating educational content to low income students, our team makes strives to make an impact.

Educational Content Development
To carry out our mission of helping rural parts of India advance and providing opportunities for students, we are developing educational content specifically designed for these communities. This includes introducing themes from our schools' magnet programs, such as Bio-Med, Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT), Engineering, and Game Design. Through partnerships with schools in India, we aim to present engaging materials on these topics and offer workshops on essential skills like business practices, hygiene, and resume building, empowering students with the tools they need to succeed. If you’d like to participate in this initiative, contact us to select a topic that inspires you, and begin creating documents or workshops to share your expertise and help shape a brighter future for these students.

EKAL Organization
Our purpose is to bring literacy, healthcare, and economic prosperity to remote villages in India, creating opportunities for lasting change and growth in underserved communities. Through our cause, “Empowering Rural India’s Changemakers,” we aim to uplift and support the individuals who are driving progress and innovation in these areas. Any remaining funds after our events will be dedicated to this mission, contributing directly to Ekal and initiatives that transform lives in rural India. POI - Parts of India
POI is a major activity that the Indian Student Association organizes to celebrate and explore the rich diversity of India's culture, history, and geography. Participants will choose a state or region in India, research it, and make a 5-7 minute PowerPoint presentation on its cultural aspects (festivals, cuisine, music, attire), historical significance, geography, and modern relevance. By presenting in a meeting, members learn more about India, but they also gain public speaking experience and get 6 volunteer hours.
